Oh, this just leaves a big, gaping hole in my heart, Rainy. Abortion has such negative spiritual and emotional ramifications.

Anyone who has ever known a person with Down's Syndrome has been blessed. Because of our own special needs kids we have become acquainted with many families who have children with Down's. They are dear, friendly, comical people just like any other family's kids and they have ENORMOUS potential.

One of the mothers whose 6th and youngest child said she was sure her world had come to an end when they learned they would have a daughter with Down's Syndrome. As it turned out, that little girl open a whole new world and gave them gifts they could never have imagined. From feeling despair, they felt very grateful for the circumstances and all the opportunities that little girl offered them.

Incidentally, that baby grew up to work a steady job in the food business. She's a middle aged woman now who has her own apartment and makes her own decisions. She is happy, radiant and joyful. So are her aging parents. They know she is going to be all right, after all.

Thank you so much for bringing this issue to light. It is such an important matter.

Hugs,
Mother Connie
